In the centre there is a compartment for a pen (not included). It also has a comfortable carry handle that is incorporated into the handle.
Anekke Shōen is a tribute to the Japanese painter Uemura Shōen. This artist is considered the mother of Japanese women artists, as she managed to make painting a female profession at a time when women were not allowed to paint professionally.
